Ellen Henderson of Gowensville, was named Landrum’s Citizen of the Year for 2019-2020. Henderson was presented with her award at the last stop of the Taste of Landrum tour on Thursday, November 14. 

 

Henderson was surprised when Landrum Lions club member, Bob Walker, called her name in front of a large group of Landrum community members.

 

Henderson was thankful for the position and when asked how she felt about receiving the award she said, “[she] is honored to be selected as the Landrum citizen of the year. [She] loves the Landrum community and enjoys being a part of all of the special community events that take place in Landrum.” 

 

Henderson has been in the Landrum area for twenty years and could not imagine being anywhere else.
