Flint D. Nelon age 56 of Sunny View went to be with our Lord on Friday, September 6, 2019 after an extended illness.
Flint worked in many fields during his life including, Truck Driver, Machine Operator, Carpentry and Plumbing. Most recently he enjoyed cooking and loved using and sharing the fresh ingredients from his garden.
He is preceded in death by his Father John H. Nelon Jr., His brother Kevin and most recently his sister Marlene McDowell.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly and daughter, Micheala of the home; his mother, Catherine; 2 brothers, John (Becky) and Randy (Chrissy). He had 9 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He was a very passionate man who enjoyed fishing, gardening and helping care for his family and friends.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude and love for the Advanced Cardiac Care Clinic Team and the surgical and ICU teams at Memorial Mission Hospital who cared for him these last two and a half years with his LVAD.
It was 2 ½ years we would not have had without Gods’ grace and the teams who took the knowledge God gave us and knew how to use it. Micheala and I can’t tell you enough how much we love you.
He did not want any service but we will have a small celebration of life at Sunny View Community House on Friday, September 13th from 6-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Advanced Cardiac Care Clinic at
Memorial Mission Hospital to help give another the chance at life thru LVAD.
