Cann said she grew up on the football field since her dad was a coach and talked football at home.

She’s now creating content for Panthers.com.

Cann’s focus for the Panthers is to add more interviews, videos and behind the scenes content so fans get to know the players and the organization more.

Cann previously worked for three years in a similar role with the Indianapolis Colts. She served as a reporter and host for the NFL team there. She hosted a television show for the Colts that ran once a week all year as well as doing daily updates and producing some content for Colts.com.

Cann, 26, recently told a Carolina Gamecock publication that when she was growing up watching football the only females she saw were sideline reporters and cheerleaders, and the female reporters were very new then. She said as she got older, she started seeing women breaking barriers in different roles, including as athletic trainers and on the operation side of things. Females were doing play-by play and hosting, she said. Now, females are involved in scouting and coaching.

Cann graduated from the University of South Carolina in December 2015, where she worked with Gamecock Productions and after graduation worked with South Carolina’s Live Operations Department, which produces the SEC Network+broadcasts.
