Landrum, SC—Glenda R. Smith, 75 of Landrum, SC went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.
Glenda was the daughter of the Mamie Ruth Thompson Foster and the late Warren Glen McInnis. Glenda was a graduate of Tryon High school and Spartanburg General School of Nursing. During her career, Glenda worked in many different capacities as a nurse which included working at St. Luke’s Hospital and as a private duty nurse. Glenda eventually retired from White Oak Manor of Tryon after 34 years of dedicated service. Glenda always went above and beyond for the patient’s she cared for. Glenda was of the Baptist faith and attended Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Eugene Smith; a granddaughter, Chelsea Ruth Storey and her beloved Pomeranian, Foxie.
In addition to her mother, Glenda leaves behind two daughters, Bonnie Smith of the home and Penny Cochran (Doug) of Boiling Springs, SC; two grandchildren, Sierra Storey and Barrett Evans of Boiling Springs, SC. Also surviving is one brother, Chris Foster; one sister, Darlene Shehan; a special friend, Joyce Hipp and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Landrum, SC with Rev. Chuck Mullinax officiating.
