Fortnite in every day life
Published 11:21 pm Tuesday, March 12, 2019
For the past several months, the video game Fortnite has been exceedingly popular with people of all ages. In each game, there are three “loot llamas” that are essentially piñatas filled with tools that can help the player who finds the loot win the game. For the month of March, Steps to HOPE is using the “loot llama” filled with good character traits to encourage students to win and be the #1 Victory Royale in their everyday life.
Each month during the school year, Steps to HOPE has been graciously allowed to place bulletin boards at LMS, PCMS, and PCHS as a community outreach project. The boards use current, popular, and/or topical subjects to encourage students and faculty and to deliver a positive message to students and staff. Steps to HOPE’s contact information, now including a text line, is prominently displayed for anyone who might need services provided by Steps to HOPE, the local domestic violence and sexual assault center serving and educating Western NC and Upstate SC. If you or someone you know is being abused, please call 828-894-2340.
This outreach program is partially supported by the Polk County Community Foundation. If you would like to help sponsor this program or another that furthers the mission of Steps to HOPE, please call 828-894-2340.
