Alvin Page

Herbert Alvin Page, 86, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at Oakland Living Center in Rutherfordton. 

Born Dec. 11, 1932, in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late James Herbert Page and Thelma Jones Page. 

He was retired from Dover Textiles and was a member of Waco Baptist Church. He loved bass fishing and was a veteran of the U.S. Army after serving during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Alvin Page; and one sister, Coralie Page Gosey.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Barrett Page; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Wanda Page of Forest City; two brothers, James Page and wife Annie Mae of Forest City and William Henry Page and wife Merlene of Green Creek; sister, Marcella Page Greene of Shelby; two grandchildren, Zac Page and wife Estefania and Chad Cuthbertson; and great-grandson, Jordan Cutherbertson.

The visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Waco Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Waco Baptist Church, with Dr. Harold Fite officiating.

Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
