The Tryon Riding and Hunt Club donated $1,000 to Polk County Early College student Mason Lassiter last week, who is raising money to renovate the open-air gymnasium at Harmon Field. Lassiter has taken on the renovation for his senior project next year. He hopes to raise $40,000 to replace the flooring, basketball goals and add benches and a water fountain. Lassiter has already received some funding from the town of Tryon and Tryon International Equestrian Center.  Pictured is Lassiter with Tryon Riding and Hunt Club’s Gary Zumstein.
