Jonathan Carl McCall (left), of Brevard, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Tryon, was ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry at Trinity on Sunday, Dec. 2, with the Rev. Thomas Olson officiating. Pastor McCall graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Nov. 9, with a Master of Divinity degree, and was certified for placement. He completed his vicarage year (his fourth year of seminary) by serving St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. He will be installed as pastor at Mount Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, at 3 p.m. this Sunday.
