A pair of bands are set to perform at the seventh annual Tryon Beer Festival, which will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.
Among those in the lineup is returning band Suburban Angst, hailing from Atlanta, who will perform rockin’ cover tunes to kick off the festival.
The group has played for large private parties, Atlanta bar scenes, community-wide music venues and fundraisers. The band has also been a fixture as of late at the BB&T Atlanta Tennis Open.
They play modern rock and alternative, with a few deeper cuts. They kick out hits from U2 to REM, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Cage the Elephant, just to name a few.
Band members said, ”We’re all about helping you to have fun and release your inner ANGST!”
Closing the Tryon Beer Fest will be The Carburetors out of Flat Rock. The band includes Jay Goree on acoustic guitar, Mark Warwick on electric guitar, Duke Domingue playing bass and Bill Munoz on percussion.
With a wide range of influences, they classify themselves as “chicken-fried-country-rock-grass.”
Brandon Reynolds writes in Style Weekly magazine that “The Carburetors make noise with skill, humor and, I dare say, a little class. These guys play American driving-down-the-road music, good like bluegrass, poorly behaved like rockabilly.”
The Tryon Beer Fest tickets can be purchased online at tryonbeerfest.com, or at The Tryon Bottle for pre-sale, and at the gate the day of the festival.
Ticket sales are capped at 1,000 to ensure short lines. A limited number of VIP tickets are also available.
This is a rain or shine event. Only those 21 and over are allowed to attend, and ID must be presented at the gate.
No pets will be permitted at festival. No guns are allowed on festival grounds, either.
