During the month of August 2018, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office answered 606 calls for service.

There were 14 felony arrests, 24 misdemeanor arrests and 49 citations issued.

Officers completed 887 house checks, 2,667 business checks, 1,567 church checks, assisted the public 11 times, served 85 civil papers, 50 criminal papers and patrolled 24,880 miles.

The Polk County Jail booked a total of 76 inmates, including 50 males and 26 females.
