Freda Elaine Waters, 64, of Landrum, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 17, 2018, at the Smith Phayer Hospice House.

Born in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late RG Fowler and Delphine Wolfe Fowler. Mrs. Waters retired from Kelly’s Care Rest Home as a CNA. She loved birds, animals and, most of all, her family.

Surviving is her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Waters; two sons, Carroll and Darrell Waters both of Landrum; one daughter, Marci Waters of Landrum; four grandchildren, Demi Waters, Kaelan Peeler, Kelsey Waters and Aiden Peeler. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Everett Pierce officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
