At the Aug. 16 meeting of the Rotary Club of Tryon, Dr. Lisa Broyles was the guest speaker. Broyles grew up in Asheville, and received her education at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Medical School and the Brady School of Medicine at East Carolina University. She now calls Saluda home, and is in practice at Saluda Family Medicine. In her presentation, Broyles spoke to the Rotarians about the importance of nutrition in promoting good health. In addition, she discussed how true health encompasses emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. Following her presentation, Boyles answered numerous questions from the Rotarians. Broyles was introduced by Rotarian Jim Bross, who is pictured with her. (Submitted by Bill Hillhouse)
