The smell of home cooking, the sounds of live music and chit-chatting, and the spirit of a good, fun evening with friends and family permeated downtown Tryon Sunday evening, during the Tryon Downtown Development Association’s second-ever Farm to Trade Street event. Hundreds all sat down at a giant, conjoined series of tables lined up on Trade Street, where they had a chance to enjoy a four-course, family-style meal prepared by local restaurants and businesses with fresh ingredients sourced from the area. The group Swamp Rabbit Railroad also performed music for the hungry diners, while several area wineries set up tents to give guests some libations to go with their meals.
