Jean Hamill Masologites, 92, of Tryon, died peacefully on May 27 at White Oak Manor.
A special thanks to the staff there who were tremendously conscientious and caring while looking after Jean the last several years.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan. She met her husband, George, while working at the Atlantic Richfield Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She and George were married in 1948.
They lived for many years in the Philadelphia area, later moving to Chicago. They relocated to Tryon in 1978 after George retired.

Jean is survived by her children, Ellen, Peter and Diane; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Nancy; and grandson, Joshua.
