During the month of April 2018, the Saluda Police Department answered 72 calls for service.

There were three arrests, including two for driving while impaired and one for driving while license revoked. 

There were 50 state citations issued, four city citations issued, 42 warnings, three accidents, one larceny, 11 welfare checks, three alarms and 21 suspicious person/vehicle.

Officers checked businesses and churches every night, assisted the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Columbus Police Department, the North Carolina Highway Patrol and the Saluda Fire Department, and patrolled 3,678 miles.
