PCHS engineering students tackle circuits, programming

Polk County High School students in Leslie Rhinehart’s Engineering Honors class have recently been learning circuits and programming.
The students have been conducting their work using new kits purchased by a grant from BioGen obtained by PCHS science teacher Jennifer Allsbrook.
“The Arduino platform teaches the kids correct connections for circuits and the coding language helps them with logic and patience,” Rhinehart said. “Debugging has been the greatest challenge.
“These skills are needed in all avenues of engineering and will hopefully give them an advantage when heading off to engineering programs.”
