Polk County senior Autumn Owen closed out her high school basketball career Saturday on a winning note.
Owen scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds to help lead the Blue squad to a 76-66 victory in the 42nd Annual Blue-White All-Star Game at Enka High School.
The event matches the top high school seniors in Western North Carolina, and is a fund-raising project for the Rhododendron Civitan Club. Revenue generated from the girls and boys games furnish financial resources to public school programs targeting the handicapped.
Owen also won the night’s 3-point shooting contest.
Owen finished her career as the second-leading scorer in school history with 1,148 points. She has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Gardner-Webb.
