Good Friday service March 30

The Community Annual Good Friday service, sponsored by the Thermal Belt Ministerial Association, will be held on Friday, March 30, at noon at the Tryon Presbyterian Church, 430 Harmon Field Road, Tryon.
The service is titled “Journey to the Cross” and will include clergy and congregation participating in the events of Holy Week that led Christ to the cross.
It will begin with scripture readings from Christ’s triumphal entry, authority, betrayal, agony in the garden and arrest, the trial, and the crucifixion. The Chancel Choir of Tryon Presbyterian Church will bring special music, and Good Friday hymns will be a part of the order of worship.
The community is invited to attend. Pastors from the following churches will be participating: Tryon United Methodist Church, Tryon First Baptist Church, Mill Creek Church of the Brethren (Green Creek), Tryon Congregational Church, Columbus United Methodist Church, Holy Cross Episcopal Church of Tryon and Tryon Presbyterian Church. All are welcome.
