Polk alumni basketball game to take place Saturday

COLUMBUS — Polk County High School alumni will compete this Saturday in a basketball game, with players facing off from Tryon and Polk Central.

The event is the third annual Wolverine Alumni Basketball game, and will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Polk County High School gymnasium in Columbus.

This year’s game will be between alumni from Polk Central and Tryon, and will include pizza and wings, halftime games and the Polk County High School Band. Former players, cheerleaders and coaches will be in attendance.

All proceeds will go towards the Polk County High School basketball program.
