Woodland Park

A wonderful town park and nature preserve, Woodland Park, was devastated after the tornado that cut through town last Fall. After the tornado passed most of the trails were closed due to felled trees so enjoying a local walk in the woods was limited to one short section of trail. The work to clear the trails was just completed Jan 31 and now all trails are passable for everyone’s enjoyment, thanks to the very hard work of the crew that completed the job. Thank you all for the fantastic job done and to the Town of Tryon for having the work scheduled and completed.
If you want to see the power of nature up close ( I was stunned at the number of large trees simply broken in half and uprooted) or just enjoy a walk in the woods I encourage you to take a hike through Woodland Park. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
