William Joseph “Joe” Corn

William Joseph “Joe” Corn, 87, of Landrum passed away on February 5, 2018.
He was the husband of Margaret D. Corn and son of the late William Gurley and Naida Orr Corn.
He was the owner of Preferred Printer and was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he played the organ and steel guitar and taught Sunday School.
He was a Hospice volunteer and former commissioner of Glassy Mountain Fire Department. He was a voting poll volunteer for Greenville County and a former member of the Landrum VFW. He served in the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Corn; three sons Jerry Corn (Charlotte), Phil Corn (Marian) and Greg Corn; two daughters, JoAnn Reid (Chet) and Allyce Corn; nine grandchildren, Dalton, Dylan, Elizabeth, Jason, Jessica, Matthew, Leah, Tara and Keri; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters Rhoda Speight and Diana Caddy.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel conducted by Jason Fowler, Rev. John Fortner and Rev. Jimmy Camp. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
