The ice last week caused a few accidents in the area, and one was on Clarence Road in Lynn on Wednesday, Jan. 17. The Tryon Fire Department responded to a wreck, where an SUV rolled down a steep hill into the Pacolet River off Clarence Road. The fire department reported that the occupant sustained scrapes and bruises. Warm temperatures Friday through Sunday, that reached into the high 60s on Sunday, has finally cleared the area of ice and snow.
