Freda Plumley

Freda Foster Plumley, 84, of 1126 Belue Mill Road, Landrum, S.C., passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at White Oak Manor in Tryon.

Freda was born in Lynn, N.C. on December 17, 1933, a daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl (Hudson) Foster. She was the widow of Cecil Fred Plumley, retired from White Oak Manor in Tryon, N.C. as dietary supervisor and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Landrum.

Freda is survived by a son, Glenn Plumley and wife Robin, of Landrum; a sister, Genell Campbell, of Landrum; a brother, Brad Foster, of Columbus, N.C., two grandchildren, Erin Washburn of Easley, Evan Plumley of Landrum, and two great grandsons, Nolan and Charlie Washburn.

The family is at the home of her son, 1134 Belue Mill Road, Landrum and will receive friends Saturday from 2 – 3 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Landrum.

Funeral services will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, with Rev Chuck Mullinax and Rev Lynn Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
