Lorean Williams Wilson, 94, passed away at Laurel Woods Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family and friends on December 25, 2017.

Lorean was the daughter of the late Claude Hardy and Oma Gibbs Williams. She was a woman of many talents and enjoyed gardening, reading, and writing her biography. Lorean loved cooking and caring for her family. She was strong in her faith and was a member at Coopers Gap Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wilson, a son, Arnold Wilson, a sister, Janie Setzer, two brothers, Ben and J.D. Williams, and a grandson, Michael Wilson.

Surviving are two sons, Roger Wilson (Nancy) of Fripp Island, S.C., and Steve Wilson (Yvonne) of Hampton, S.C.; one daughter, Imogene Thompson (James) of Inman, S.C.; three sisters, Louella Evans, Marie White, and Nethelee Burgess; and a sister in law, Addie Lee Lynch of Mill Spring, N.C. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brian Wilson, Rev. Aaron Pruitt, and Rev. Don Hollifield officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Burial will follow at Coopers Gap Baptist Church Cemetery in Mill Spring, N.C.
