The third annual Green Creek Community Christmas Dinner will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Green Creek Community Center from 4-6 p.m. The community is invited to come out and enjoy a free Christmas dinner with neighbors. Capt. B.J. Bayne with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office began the annual dinner three years ago to provide a meal for people in Green Creek who might not otherwise have one. Pictured are volunteers Kem Ketchum, Todd Arwood, Jay Turney, Grayson Edwards, Shelby Cash, Heather Cash, Gracie Edwards, Eli Kileen, Jennifer Edwards, Jake Johnson, Santa Claus, Linda Ketchum, BJ Bayne, Jessica Powell and Austin Cashwell, who helped prepare the dinner last year.
