Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 86 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Suliman Saleh Algfary was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Algfary was to pay court costs.
Heather Sabrina Harden was convicted of persons prohibited from becoming surety. Harden was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Andrew Braymer Harner was convicted of failure to appear. Harner was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Angela Dawn Harvey was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Harvey was fined $25 and court costs.
Matthew Steven Medley was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Medley was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served.
Thomas Gray Smith Jr. was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Smith was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Joshua Ron Vanbuskirk was convicted of two counts of breaking and or entering. Vanbuskirk was sentenced to three years supervised probation, $40,000 in restitution and court costs.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Beechie Henry Charles was convicted of no operator’s license. Charles was fined $25 and court costs.
Anthony Robert Cone was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Cone was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Curtis Lloyd Corn was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Corn was fined $100 and court costs.
Peter Green Jr. was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Green was fined $40 and court costs.
Robert Paul Hill was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Hill was fined $20 and court costs.
Brian Albert McKinney was convicted of level five driving while impaired. McKinney was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for time served and court costs.
Mark Alan Payne was convicted of designated lane violation. Payne was fined $100 and court costs.
William Byron Rickman was convicted of resisting public officer. Rickman was sentenced to three days in jail with credit.
Jorge L. Sanchez was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Sanchez was fined $40 and court costs.
Andrew Neil Searcy was convicted of injury to personal property. Searcy was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Heather Nicole Stepp was convicted of failure to wear rear seat belt. Stepp was fined $20.
Michael James Taylor was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Taylor was sentenced to one day in jail with credit.
Salvatore Felix Varri was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Varri was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Warren Paul Winslow was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Winslow was fined $40 and court costs.
Brooke Rae Wood was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Wood was fined $20.
