Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court last Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 98 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Melanie Ernest Archer was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Archer was fined $40 and court costs.
Joshua Glenn Bivens was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Bivens was fined $40 and court costs.
Jeffrey James Black Jr. was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Black was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $30 fine and court costs.
Christina M. Cafrey was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Cafrey was fined $40 and court costs.
Juan Carlos Chavez was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Chavez was fined $40 and court costs.
Lauren Elizabeth Cooper was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Cooper was fined $25.
Nipul Dilip Desai was convicted possession of drug paraphernalia. Desai was fined $50 and court costs.
Barbra C. Gerhard was convicted of level two driving while impaired. Gerhard was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, nine days in jail, a $400 fine and court costs.
Charles Edward Gunter was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Gunter was fined $40 and court costs.
Ian Gray Hazzard was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Hazzard was fined $40 and court costs.
George Alexander Jester was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Jester was fined $50 and court costs.
Annie Robinson Jones was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Jones was fined $40 and court costs.
Justin Michael Keyser was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Keyser was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for time served.
Angela Rose Kozan was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Kozan was fined $40 and court costs.
Ryan Lonnie Lanning was convicted of probation violation, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lanning’s probation was revoked and sentenced to 6-17 months in prison.
Jaleel Roshad Lytle was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Lytle was fined $50 and court costs.
Franklin David Odum Jr. was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Odum was fined $40 and court costs.
Robert Eugene Pelz was convicted of second-degree trespassing. Pelz was to pay court costs.
Joseph Cole Rogers was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Rogers was fined $40 and court costs.
Jeffrey Dean Scanlon was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Scanlon was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
James Patrick Wilson was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Wilson was fined $40 and court costs.
