The Unity in the Community Organization recently received a Seasonal Assistance Grant from the Polk County Community Foundation. The Board and Staff Members of the Polk County Community Foundation developed the Seasonal Assistance and Cheer Grants so local nonprofits would have funds to provide festive celebrations, food, clothes, and toys to individuals and families in our area who may find themselves in less fortunate circumstances this holiday seasons.

After being awarded this grant the Unity in the Community Organization is now planning their 6th Annual Sharing in the Community Christmas Social. This project is for the senior citizen, 62 years and up, that resides in the Polk County and Landrum area. A cater meal, live music, and free gifts are just a few great things, that are on tap for this great event.
