Reward of $5k offered in Sunny View b&e case

SUNNY VIEW-A $5,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of individuals who broke into a Sunny View home the night of Oct. 26 or early morning hours of Oct. 27.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office sent out information on Tuesday, Nov. 14 regarding the case.

The suspects are believed to have entered the home of 6700 Big Level Road through the back door, damaging the house as they entered. Multiple suspects are believed to be involved because of the damage to the house as well as a large safe being taken, according to Capt. B.J. Bayne.

A large Cannon safe was taken during the larceny, which contained cash, long guns, handguns, Liberty silver dollars, gold pieces and jewelry, according to sheriff’s office reports.

The homeowner is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information that would lead investigators to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

Bayne said information or tips received will be treated as confidential and can be reported as anonymous.
