Columbus Fire Department report

During the month of September 2017, the Columbus Fire Department answered 99 calls for service.
In the town limits of Columbus, the Columbus Fire Department responded to 22 medical assists, three motor vehicle accidents with no injuries, five hazardous conditions, one service call, two assist police or other government agency, one public service, five dispatched and cancelled, one smoke scare, one smoke detector activation, one special type of incident and one citizen complaint.
At Columbus’ station two, firefighters responded to one medical assist and one service call.
In the Columbus Township, firefighters responded to one grass fire, one dumpster fire, one rescue, 18 medical assists, one EMS call, two motor vehicle accidents with injuries, three motor vehicle accidents with no injuries, one hazardous condition, one service call, one public service assistance, on public service, one dispatched and cancelled, one no incident found, one authorized controlled burning, one false alarm and one alarm system sounded due to malfunction. There was also one assist in the Tryon Township.
The Columbus Fire Department received 68 hours of training during the month of September.
