Therapeutic Riding of Tryon, the therapeutic riding program at FENCE (Foothills Equestrian Nature Center) held a Play Day for TROT students on Tuesday afternoon, July 25 at the FENCE covered arena.

This informal event gave students a chance to share their love with some very special therapy horses. There was a demonstration by Sheila Veatch with her mare, Meara, working at liberty as well as a driving demonstration by Jean Wright and her miniature donkey, Admiral.

According to June Lefebvre, “My son was so excited to see the horses!  He really misses the experience during the summer months.  We are all looking forward to lessons starting back in the fall.”

TROT holds lessons for 10 weeks in the spring and fall each year, thanks to the dedication of hard-working volunteers and their wonderful horses!
