Fun is had by all at the Tryon Fine Arts Center (TFAC) Film Series Gala. Tim Brannon and Chris Bartol got into character at the gala celebration for Blazing Saddles in 2014. This year, the Film Series culminates with a gala celebration and screening of the film “Julia and Julia.” The gala starts at 5:30 p.m. on May 2 with French-wine and food from Julia Child’s classic cookbook The Art of French Cooking. The film starts at 7 p.m. with an introduction from chef Jim Tab, a former associate of Julia Child. Tickets for the food, fun and film are available at tryonarts.org or 828-
