POLK COUNTY DISTRICT COURT RESULTS

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding, 170 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

John Allen Albree II was convicted of level four driving while impaired, simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Albree was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, $150 in fines and court costs.

Deon Tremain Clayburn was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Clayburn was fined $90 and court costs.

Carrol Bernard Cooks was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Cooks was fined $40 and court costs.

Cole Robert Emory was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Emory was fined $90 and court costs.

Joel Sands Felkel was convicted of speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. Felkel was fined $30 and court costs.

Sarah Parker Franklin was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Franklin was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Marco Anton Gutierrez was convicted of back seat belt violation. Gutierrez was fined $80.

James Richard Helton was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Helton was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Keith Michael Lusk was convicted of attempted possession of firearm by a felon. Lusk was sentenced to two years supervised probation, 120 days in jail with credit for 27 days, $236.64 in restitution and court costs.

Debra Elaine McKenzie was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. McKenzie was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.

Terry Alan Miller was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Miller was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Taysen James Russell was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Russell was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY ARREST REPORT

Feb. 20

Tammy Frady, 36, from Landrum was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of meth/cocaine and the possession of a narcotic. Frady’s bond is set at $7,000.

Feb. 21

Crystal Ventura Montanez, 34, from Landrum was arrested and charged with two counts of negligence towards a child or helpless person. Montanez’s bond is set at $10,000.

Feb. 24

Hilton Monk, 52, from Landrum was arrested and charged with hitchhiking and a Spartanburg Municipal Court violation. Monk’s bond is set at $465.
