TRYON – The Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce will hold their fourth annual Business and Community Expo in Saluda in February.

According to Janet Sciacca, executive director, the 2017 Business and Community Expo is going to be held at the Party Place and Event Center at 221 Friendship Church Rd. in Saluda. The event will be on Saturday, Feb. 25 from noon until 5 p.m.

Sciacca said the center has space for 60 vendors. More details about the expo will come after she and the event’s committee will meet. She added she did not know when the committee would meet due to the holidays.

The chamber’s annual expo is one of the organization’s three big fundraisers, according to Sciacca, in addition to the Blue Ridge Barbecue and Music Festival and the Shuckin’ and Shaggin’ event.

Last year’s expo was held in the gym of Landrum Middle School and featured more than 50 vendors from across the Foothills. According to Sciacca, the event supports the chamber’s “Save Local, Buy Local, Hire Local” initiative, which promotes keeping local dollars in the area’s local economy.

Businesses ranging from banks to contractors and caterers get the opportunity to talk first-hand with potential customers at the expo, Sciacca said.

Door prizes are contributed by each business at the event. Each family will receive gifts from the chamber including a free tote bag, stylus pen, cell phone card holder and picture frame magnet, according to Sciacca. For more information, visit carolinafoothillschamber.com.
