Vanelle Jackson Wilson, 92, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 in the Smith Phayer Hospice House In Landrum, S.C.

A native of the Sunny View community, she was the daughter of the late Pinckney and Sophia Brown Jackson. She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her husband of 69 years, Calvin, and one son, Gene, both of the home. She spent her life as a homemaker and was active in Coopers Gap Baptist Church where she had been a member for over 70 years. Vanelle loved her family and friends dearly, and had a wonderful sense of humor and a giving heart. She will be greatly missed.

The family received friends Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 from 6-7:30p.m. in Coopers Gap Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held, Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Coopers Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Don Hollifield and Rev.Warren Elliott officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery following the service.
