Free archery lessons were given on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Green Creek Community Center. Instructors Danielle Han, Steve Burney and Jim Vennera provided the free equipment and coaching to kids and adults alike from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. thanks to a grant from the Polk County Community Foundation. The grant also allowed the center to purchase five complete sets of archery equipment. According to Burney, another free archery day will be held on Nov. 12 in the Community Center gym.
