Polk County District Court results for Oct. 12

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, with Judge David K. Fox presiding, 129 cases were heard. Some cases were dismissed, continued or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Mark Aram Bridges was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Bridges was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 48 hours in jail, a $300 fine and court costs.
Brian Scott Dumars was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Dumars was sentenced to 21 days in jail.
Lucio Maya was convicted of careless and reckless driving. Maya was fined $200 and court costs.
Thomas Zachary Norris was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Norris was fined $50 and court costs.
Rufus Taylor III was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Taylor was sentenced to 24 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $200 fine and court costs.
Bradley Cordale Waters was convicted of driving after consuming under age 21. Waters was fined $100 and court costs.
Beau Matthew Willoughby was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Willoughby was sentenced to 24 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours in jail, a $200 fine and court costs.
Amanda L. Witherspoon was convicted of unsafe movement. Witherspoon was fined $200 and court costs.
