Due to an abundant harvest this week, over 35 pounds, there will a Shiitake Mushroom Festival at the Landrum Farmers Market on Trade St. this Saturday, Oct. 22 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. with sales (and samples) of fresh shiitakes, shiitake butter, and cream of shiitake soup. Also, learn how to inoculate oak logs.

Some shiitake logs will be for sale, a great gift for a shiitake lover!

And as a fun bonus, Music in Landrum, which raises performance fees through the sales of shiitakes, will give away a large selection of free CDs and DVDs from past live performances.
