Dora Bridges Arledge

Dora Bridges Arledge was born to Roy and Vernie Bridges on January 9, 1930. She left us to join them and the love of her life, husband Marvin, on October 17, 2016.

Dora resided in Green Creek. There, she and Marvin were married for 61 years. Dora leaves behind a daughter Vicki, granddaughter Harley, and twin sister Dorothy.

Dora worked at Hatch Mill, where she met her husband Marvin. She then worked at First National Bank of SC until she retired after 25 years of service. Dora loved the bank and the family she made there.

Dora was a member of the Polk County Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary, which she served for many years. She played softball and served many community outreaches. Dora was a member of Green Creek First Baptist Church and lived her faith.

Dora loved to shop and share her treasures with others. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed by everyone who crossed her path.

Services to celebrate Dora’s life will be held at Green Creek First Baptist Church on Saturday, October 22. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m., with services beginning at 12 p.m.
