Tryon Fine Arts Center offers “100% Local Festival”

Tryon Fine Arts Center is celebrating the talented performers of western North Carolina with the first annual “100% Local Festival.” Musicians who call Tryon, Landrum, Saluda, and Columbus home will perform early afternoon concerts Oct. 20, 21, and 22 in the Peterson Amphitheater.
To continue celebrating the local theme, food trucks from nearby restaurants will be on site for each performance. Beer, wine, and soda will be available from TFAC.
The “100% Local Festival” will kick off on Oct. 20 at 6 p.m., with the Jim Peterman Quartet and Dog Whistle. On Oct. 21, performers include 176 and Bradley Ditto. The final evening of the festival on Oct. 22, highlights Marc Yaxley, Chris Blalock, and Aaron Burdett.
“We have such an abundance of talent in our own backyard,” said Michelle Fleming, TFAC marketing manager. “We want to showcase our local favorites, and the Peterson Amphitheater is the perfect venue this time of year.”
Food trucks and concessions will begin serving at 5:30 p.m. each afternoon, music will start at 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the door.
