The American Legion Post #250 and McFarland Funeral Chapel of Tryon held a commemoration ceremony at the Polk Memorial Garden Saturday morning in Columbus to mark 15 years since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Chaplain Chris Osborn and American Legion Post #250 member John Magee recounted the morning of September 11, 2001 as it unfolded on major news outlets and a moment of silence was observed for those who lost their lives.
