TACS debuts Coffee & Crafts Saturday morning series
Published 7:30 pm Wednesday, September 7, 2016
Based on the success of their monthly Friday night Wine & Craft Series, Tryon Arts and Crafts School will be kicking off a new, monthly Saturday morning Coffee & Crafts series, which will commence on Saturday morning, Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the school at 373 Harmon Field Road. The series was developed to provide a fun Saturday morning craft experience, and the Tryon Coffee House Co-op will “cooperatively” be providing their delicious coffee!
The first workshop will be led by TACS instructor Camille Corn, and each student will be crafting three beautiful fused-class pendants using different firing techniques which will highlight the different appearances each firing process creates. The cost for this mini-workshop includes all supplies, coffee and pastries/snacks.
Future coffee and crafts mornings planned so far are: wire-wrapped pendants with Daniel Wilcox on Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; holiday fused-glass ornaments with Camille Corn on Nov. 5; and holiday decorations with recycled plastic with David Edgar on Dec. 10. For additional information or to reserve space in any of these workshops, visit tryonartsandcrafts.org/product-category/workshops/ or call 828-859-8323 to enroll.
