Bill Foster, Sr., 81, of East Flat Rock, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 4, 2016.  A resident of Henderson County for the past 40 years, he was a son of the late Barnard and Revilee Dill Foster and husband of the late Shirley Bradley who died in 2014. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Donna Williams and two brothers Charles Foster and J.R. Foster.

Bill was a manager with Alkahn Label Manufacturers, retiring in 2000 after 40 years with the company. A member of Tracy Grove Baptist Church, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Surviving is one son Bill Foster, Jr. and wife Sherrie of Hendersonville; one daughter Sherry Suber of Landrum, S.C.; five grandchildren, Ashley Wallace and husband Edward, Aaron Foster and wife Kara, Alyssa Jones and husband Matthew, Anthony Suber, Jr. and Portia Suber; nine great-grandchildren, Hunter, Tyler, Mia, and Zoe Wallace, Samuel, Ariana, Bella-Grace, Elijah, and Ayira Suber; three brothers, John, Robert and Nick Foster; four sisters, Jean Randall, Margaret Newman, Juanita Whitesides and Betty Davis; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Shuler Funeral Home.  Rev. James Maybin will officiate.
