More than 100 school district administrators from across the state of South Carolina will have the opportunity to learn with professionals from Google for Education during a Google Symposium hosted in Spartanburg School District One on Sept. 15.
The all-day symposium is designed to showcase technology use and demonstrate innovative ways districts can use Google apps for education to promote student learning and collaboration. This opportunity has been hosted by Google both nationally and internationally over the last two years.
Chosen for their innovative approach to educational technology practices which integrate digital tools into the classrooms, Spartanburg School District One will highlight classrooms where state leaders of education will witness technology integration first hand, and will also have the opportunity to network with other districts from around the state.
In conjunction with a 1:1 initiative for 3rd-12th grade currently rolling out to students, Spartanburg One has many opportunities for other districts to observe the various components of a successful technology initiative.
“Spartanburg One is honored to partner with Google to showcase examples of effective integration of technology throughout our district and some of the behind-the-scenes work that makes it all possible,” states Dr. Jimmy Pryor, coordinator of Technology for Spartanburg School District One.
