McFarland collecting donations for Louisiana flood victims

Throughout the month of September, McFarland Funeral Chapel will be partnering with the North Carolina Baptist Association to collect donations for victims affected by the flooding in Louisiana.

“The flooding in Louisiana has been on everyone’s minds, so we wanted to do something to help. Many victims lost everything, so we’re hoping these items can help them through this difficult time,” explained McFarland General Manager Brian Metcalf.

The funeral home will be collecting the following items: canned food, hygiene items (for men, women, and children), baby products (diapers, formula, etc.), and cleaning supplies (soap, cleaners, disinfectants, brooms, mops, sponges, buckets, etc.). Those wishing to donate can drop off any of the items at the funeral home in Tryon Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
