Traditional music classes start Sept. 14. Pacolet Junior Appalachian Musicians (PacJAM) offers classes in the traditional music of the mountains. Students ages eight to 14 can choose 10 weeks of instruction in banjo, guitar, fiddle or mandolin, with folklore, dance and singing thrown in.

Adult instruction in guitar will be offered by folk musician Phil Johnson.

Classes will be held Wednesday evenings, Sept. 14 through Nov. 16. Discounts are available for multiple students from the same family. Space is limited, so register now.
