Polk County District Court results for July 27 & Aug. 3

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding, 116 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Michael Ray Adkins was convicted of possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Adkins was to pay court costs.

Matthew Dane Bradley was convicted of level two driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. Bradley was sentenced to one year supervised probation, seven days in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.

Joseph Derek Brown was convicted of failure to appear. Brown was sentenced to 13 days in jail with credit for time served.

Ronald Van Davis was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Davis was fined $50.

John David Edwards Jr. was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Edwards was fined $100.

Christopher Escalante was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Escalante was fined $30 and court costs.

Alex Edward Gleich was convicted of unsafe movement. Gleich was fined $20 and court costs.

Antonio D. Jefferson was convicted of two counts of simple assault. Jefferson was sentenced to 17 days in jail with credit for time served.

Mark Gregory Kennedy was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Kennedy was fined $40 and court costs.

Michael Robert Mildner was convicted of two counts of breaking and or entering, two counts of larceny and two counts of first-degree trespassing enter/remain. Mildner was sentenced to one year supervised probation and court costs.

Brandi Nicole Newman was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Newman was fined $40 and court costs.

Tori Moriah Nolen was convicted of assault government official/employee. Nolen was sentenced to 25 days in jail with credit for time served.

Linda Star Sain was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Sain was fined $50 and court costs.

Matthew Allen Smithers was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Smithers was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Melissia Suber was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Suber was fined $25 and court costs.

Carleigh M. Tenpenny was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Tenpenny was fined $50 and court costs.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Zebulan L. Anderson was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Anderson was fined $20 and court costs.

Tammy Lawson Hall was convicted of possession of stolen goods. Hall was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.

Jennifer Lee Glass was convicted of four counts of misdemeanor larceny. Glass was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, $111 in restitution and court costs.

Darryl Dee Goodson was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Goodson was fined $40 and court costs.

Megan Blake Hill was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Hill was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Boone Kyle Metzker was convicted of breaking and or entering, misdemeanor larceny and obtaining property under false pretenses. Metzker was sentenced to two years supervised probation, $4,405 in restitution and court costs.

Kylen Gene Moss was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Moss was sentenced to one year supervised probation and court costs.

Michael Shaw Olkowski was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Olkowski was fined $40 and court costs.

Rebecca Elaine Renken was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Renken was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Jacinto H. Sanchez was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Sanchez was to pay court costs.

Abigale Mogan Speight was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Speight was fined $40 and court costs.

Calvin L. Watkins was held in criminal contempt. Watkins was sentenced to five days in jail.

Jessica Emily Zmick was convicted of no rear seat belt. Zmick was fined $30.
