Steps to HOPE received a grant from the Polk County Community
Foundation to provide a summer internship opportunity for a local high school student. Victoria Swink was chosen for the eight-week temporary position.
During her time at Steps to HOPE, Victoria learned about the inner workings of a non-profit agency, and about domestic violence and sexual assault in Polk County. She worked diligently to create a historical scrapbook for the agency and she organized the library, kitchen and tool cabinet.
It is our hope that Victoria’s time at Steps to HOPE was as beneficial to her as it was to us and we wish her well in all her future endeavors. We would like to extend our greatest thanks to the Polk County Community Foundation for making the internship possible.
