Polk District Court results for July 25

During Polk County District Court on Monday, July 25, 2016, with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 66 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Kenny Bautista-Ortiz was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Bautista-Ortiz was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Fredrick Lee Caldwell was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Caldwell was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Reggie Jamont Hannon was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Hannon was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation.

Freddie Morrison Jr. was convicted of attempted uttering forged and attempt to sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance. Morrison was sentenced to 9-20 months at the N.C. Department of Corrections with credit.

Reanna Michele Powell was convicted of 17 counts of misdemeanor larceny. Powell was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation, $2,779.51 in restitution and court costs.

Christopher J. Wakula was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Wakula was fined $40 and court costs.

Timothy Wright was convicted of probation violation out of county. Wright was sentenced to three days in jail with credit and probation terminated.
