Tryon Mountain Hardware contributes summer annuals to Tryon Depot Garden

Kim and Jeff Clement, owners of Tryon Mountain Hardware, were happy to contribute to the planting at the Tryon Depot garden this summer. They filled two planters with cheerful red angel wing begonias which will bloom until frost and added Creeping Jenny for a nice light green accent color around their bases. Both plants offer a splash of color to a shady spot.
They also weeded around the sign near the gazebo and planted some white lantana that will grow extremely well in the summer heat.
Jackie Burke, along with other Tryon Garden Club volunteers, is in charge of maintaining the Depot Garden this year. Fortunately her granddaughter Phoebe from Miami, Florida was in town to help her water before heading off to summer camp.
The Tryon Garden Club maintains the Depot Garden and appreciates all the help we receive from area businesses.
As Kim Clement from Tryon Mountain Hardware said, “If everyone does just a little bit, it adds up and our downtown looks much better.” Thank you to Jeff and Kim Clement.
